Royal Australian Navy and Philippine Navy personnel participate in Exercise LUMBAS 2026 at Naval Base Heracleo Alano and during associated bilateral activities. LUMBAS is one of the Royal Australian Navy’s longest running engagements in the region and provides an opportunity for both navies to strengthen cooperation, enhance professional knowledge and skills, and deepen people to people and cultural ties in support of maritime security and regional stability.

RAN Recruit School Provides new Recruits with the many skills needed to pass onto a naval career. The Recruits will endure an intensive 10-week training programme, learning such skills as teamwork, self-discipline and professionalism. Each Recruit will leave as a new sailor and adopt our Navy values - Service, Courage, Respect, Integrity and Excellence.

Approximately 430 Australian Defence Force personnel have joined 30 international partners for Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2026 (RIMPAC 26), the world’s largest international maritime exercise. 822X Squadron has successfully introduced the new A-61 Integrator into operation.
