Calling all techos

Applications are open for the 2026 Navy Engineering Challenge (NEC).

Nominations from all technical trades are welcome, including marine, electrical and aviation personnel.

The challenge will run from November 23 to 27 at Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus in Geelong, Victoria. Successful applicants will be accommodated at the university’s Waurn Ponds Estate. 

To apply, complete the online application form located on the 2026 NEC event page, accessible via the banner on the Navy intranet homepage.

Applicants must obtain chain of command approval to participate. Applications close October 16.
