Your news is moving with the times

Navy News will enter a new era from July as it changes to a monthly publication, complementing a more accessible and modern digital experience.

The current service newspapers have existed in their familiar print format since the late 1950s, and been available in electronic form for the past 15 years.

With more readers now accessing news online, each of the papers will soon have their own website, offering all your service news in a more timely and engaging format.

For those who prefer paper and ink, printed editions of the newspapers will be produced in the middle of every month from February to December.

These will continue to be distributed to Defence establishments and subscribers via parcel post, and will still appear in electronic form at defence.gov.au/news-events/service-newspapers.

What does this mean for you?

ADF and other Defence members can find printed editions of the newspapers in display stands on major bases, or can request delivery to their unit if they don’t already receive them.

Other readers can subscribe to receive 11 printed editions a year for $35 (covering postage). Existing subscribers will continue to receive deliveries until they reach 23 editions, and can then opt to resubscribe.
