Flood clean up continues

ADF members are continuing to support the clean up following the Queensland floods.
Elements of the Australian Army's 7th Brigade have formed an Emergency Support Force and deployed to the most heavily affected flood areas including Bundaberg, North Burnett Region and Burrum Heads.
The force arrived 30 January and began conducting various tasks within the areas in conjunction with the local council, emergency services and other organisations to restore Bundaberg’s essential services and logistics channels.
A detachment of approximately 40 members comprising of combat engineers, cavalry and signallers has been working in the North Burnett region helping to assist the community in that area.
The Australian Defence Force is assisting an Emergency Management Queensland request for assistance to the widening flood situation in Queensland.
The ADF has stood up JTF637 under the command of Brigadier Greg Bilton, Commander of the 7th Brigade based at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera in South East Queensland.
