ADF assists flood clean up in Bundaberg

Elements of the Australian Army's 7th Brigade arrived in the flood affected region of Bundaberg in order to assist with Operation QUEENSLAND FLOOD ASSIST II.

The ground force conducted various tasks within the area in conjunction with the local council, emergency services and other organisations to restore Bundaberg’s essential services and logistics channels.

The Australian Defence Force is assisting an Emergency Management Queensland request for assistance to the widening flood situation in Queensland.

The ADF has stood up JTF637 under the command of Brigadier Greg Bilton, Commander of the 7th Brigade based at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera in south-east Queensland.
