A Royal Australian Navy sailor has died during a port visit to Cambodia.

The member of HMAS Warramunga’s Ships Company passed away whilst on shore leave in Sihanoukville. 

The exact cause of death is unknown at this stage. 

The sailor’s family has been informed. 

The ADF Investigative Service is expected to arrive inCambodialater today to begin an investigation into the sailor’s death. 

The Chief of Navy and all members of the RAN are saddened by this loss and offer their condolences to the sailor’s family.
