Death of a Naval Officer in Darwin motor vehicle accident

14 June 2014

At approximately 3.00pm on Thursday 12 June 2014, a Naval Officer was killed as a result of a car accident in the Darwin suburb of Woolner.

Navy can confirm that the deceased member is Lieutenant Scott Jarman.

On behalf of all Navy members, the Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Ray Griggs, AO, CSC, RAN, extends his deepest condolences to Scott’s family as they come to terms with their loss.

As the accident is under investigation by local authorities, Navy is unable to make any further comment.

Lieutenant Jarman's family requests that their privacy be respected during this very difficult time.
