ADF Personnel safe following Taji blast

9 June 2016

Defence can confirm a bomb was detonated this morning local time at a checkpoint near the Taji Military Complex in Iraq, where Australian soldiers are deployed as part of Operation OKRA.

Defence can confirm no Australian Defence Force personnel were involved in the incident or wounded as a result of the blast.

Defence continually reviews the security threat on all operations and adjusts force protection measures as appropriate.
