Wedgetail at the ready

This month, Defence Minister Richard Marles visited ADF personnel deployed to the Middle East. 

While there, Mr Marles toured an E-7A Wedgetail and met with supporting personnel. 

The Wedgetail is currently deployed to the region to provide a long-range surveillance capability and contribute to the collective self-defence of Gulf partners. 

Australia is working with its allies to support efforts to secure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
