The Hot Issues Brief was developed from a report by the Commanding Officer of HMAS Parramatta who advised that:
On 02 January 2012, a member of HMAS Parramatta reported an alleged act of sexual indecency towards two other members onboard HMAS Parramatta to Command.
Through a staff process error the Hot Issues Brief was edited and incorrectly stated that:
On 02 January 2012, a member of HMAS Parramatta reported an alleged act of sexual indecency between two other members onboard HMAS Parramatta to Command.
The incident itself remains under investigation.
